Box Score The Lindenwood women's volleyball squad fell on Friday evening 3-0 to Central Oklahoma at Hyland Arena.
The Lady Lions got off to a slow start, falling 25-14 in the first set. The two squads battled back-and-forth in the second, creating 10 ties before Lindenwood ultimately fell 25-21. The Lady Lions started strong in the third, jumping to a 9-5 lead, but a six-point rally in the middle of the set combined with Lindenwood hitting errors pushed Central Oklahoma ahead as it took the third, 25-16.
Central Oklahoma went on several runs in the first set behind the serving of Morgan Roy and Talia Stanley. The Lady Lions struggled to hold off the Bronchos, as Central Oklahoma hit .520 in the first set.
Lindenwood was held to a .040 hitting percentage as a team while they could only keep Central Oklahoma at a .265 clip for the evening.
Erin Anselman led the Lady Lions offensively, producing a floor-high 13 kills.
Emma Brydels added 25 assists while
Kaila Schrimpf and Patsy Erb contributed 13 and 12 digs, respectively.
Lindenwood falls to 13-10 for the year and 3-6 in the MIAA. The Lady Lions hit the floor tomorrow night for their Homecoming match against conference opponent Pittsburg State. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
