Box Score The Lindenwood men's soccer team inched closer to the MIAA regular season title with a 1-0 win over Upper Iowa on Sunday in Fayette, Iowa.
The first half was a defensive half with neither team putting a tally in the scoreboard. The final 45 minutes started just like the first finished. Finally, in the 79
th minute Lindenwood broke through. Alejandro Da Silva scored the game's only goal.
Fermin Hughes started in goal for the Lions and recorded his seventh shutout of the season. He stopeed all four shots that the Peackocks put on net.
With the win Lindenwood improves to 10-2-3 overall and 7-0-2 in MIAA play. With a win on Thursday night against Southwest Baptist the Lions wrap a conference title.
