Lady Lions Set To Host Missouri-St. Louis On Saturday

• The Lady Lions are set to host Missouri-St. Louis at the Hyland Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

• Lindenwood is at home for the first time since its season opener against Fontbonne on November 9.

• This game against the Tritons marks the second of four GLVC contests that the Lady Lions have scheduled this season.

• This afternoon's game marks the ninth time that these two schools have competed against each other. The teams are currently tied at four games a piece.

• Lindenwood came out on top in the previous contest between the two schools. The Lady Lions fell to the Tritons 62-60 on the road back in 2009. 

Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood looks to win its sixth straight at home, including a 92-57 win in its home opener this year.

• Four out of the top five leading scorers are returning from last season. Those four combined for 44.3 total points per game, just less than two-thirds of the team's scoring average.

• Three Lindenwood players are averaging over 10 points this season. Freshman Tori Kuhn is leading the squad averaging 12.0 points per game.

• The Lady Lions are averaging 11.5 steals per contest this season.

Caroline Bourlioux tied her career-high of 25 points against Saint Leo on November 17. Bourlioux is averaging 11.3 points per game this season.

• Kuhn recorded her first collegiate double-double in the contest against McKendree. Kuhn has 10 rebounds to go along with 13 points.

• Lindenwood produced a 6-3 record at Hyland Arena last season. So far Lindenwood has won its only game at home this season. 

• Lindenwood has started the season shooting 40.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Lady Lions are holding their opponents to 33.3 percent.

• Lindenwood has outrebounded its opponents this season 164-144.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• Lindenwood will start its conference season on December 5 as both the men and the women's teams will head to Northwest Missouri for a double-header. The women will tip-off at 5:30 pm and the men at 7:30 p.m. 

Last Time Out
• Lindenwood fell to the McKendree Bearcats 86-71 in Lebanon, Ill.

• Kuhn recorded her first collegiate double-double in the contest against McKendree. Kuhn had 10 rebounds to go along with 13 points. 

• The Lady Lions outrebounded McKendree 47-44 but lost the turnover battle, 27-16.

Julie Hlinak led the team with 15 points while Sarah Schnieders in her first game back in almost a month, scored 13 points.  

Missouri-St. Louis Notes
• Missouri-St. Louis has started the season 2-1, snagging victories over Hannibal-LaGrange and Missouri Baptist, and a loss versus Christian Brothers.

• Head Coach Katie Vaughn is in her first season as a Triton. Prior to Missouri-St. Louis, Vaughn was the head coach at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Vaughn led the Blue Tigers to the most wins in school history with 15 during the 2011-12 season.

• The Tritons are a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

• Through the first three games, Hazaria Washington is averaging a double-double, with 15.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
