Box Score The Lindenwood women's volleyball team bounced back from Saturday's defeat on Tuesday night to sweep Missouri Southern by a 3-0 score in Joplin, Mo.
The Lady Lions jumped out on top early with a 9-3 lead over Missouri Southern in the first. Patsy Erb led Lindenwood to a 5-0 run early in the first, taking control from the service line. Missouri Southern chipped into the Lady Lion lead, but Lindenwood would ultimately pull away, taking set one by a seven-point margin.
Momentum from the first carried its way to the second, as the Lady Lions took five out of the first six points and jumped to a commanding 10-4 lead. Lindenwood capitalized on errors by Missouri Southern, going on an 8-2 run in the middle of the set to put them up 19-8. Missouri Southern rallied back slightly, but Lindenwood closed out set two, 25-16.
Lindenwood once again jumped ahead in set three, taking the lead at 17-9. Missouri Southern tried to rally back, cutting the Lindenwood lead to one at 21-20. A kill by freshman

Katie Weber, the Lady Lions hit .241 as a team while holding Missouri Southern to a .079 clip.
Kaila Schrimpf recorded 12 digs for the evening and
Emma Brydels had all but one assist on Lindenwood's side of the net, tallying 32 for the night.
Lindenwood improves to 15-15 for the year and 5-11 in the MIAA. Lindenwood will travel to Topeka, Kan. on Friday to take on the Washburn Lady Blues before wrapping up its inaugural MIAA season at Emporia State on Saturday afternoon. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
