Lindenwood bounced back with a small run of its own, diminishing the UMSL lead to one at 20-19 with 5:56 in the half. Missouri-St. Louis' lead grew back up to 11 before a lay-up by Jenny Rocha with 1:18 left in the half sparked a 6-0 run by the Lady Lions in the final seconds of the half.

The momentum from the end of the first half carried its way into the second for the Lady Lions as they overcame the five-point deficit in just two minutes and took over the lead at the 18:01 mark. UMSL stormed back moments later, regaining the lead and going up by as many as six before Lindenwood produced an 11-0 run to go up five with 10:44 left in the half.

In the final ten minutes of the contest, there were four lead changes and four ties. With 3:01 left in the game, UMSL took over the final lead, forcing four Lindenwood turnovers in the final three minutes.

The Lady Lions shot 44 percent from the floor compared to 39 percent by the Tritons. Lindenwood outrebounded UMSL 45-32, but lost the turnover battle 28-11.

Sarah Schnieders also contributed double-digit points for the Lady Lions with 11. Caroline Bourlioux had nine rebounds in the contest.
