Box Score There was a wild finish on Saturday afternoon at the Lindenwood Ice Arena with the final result being a 3-2 loss by the Lady Lions against St. Cloud State.
Lindenwood trailed 2-1 in the final minutes but drew a power play with 1:45 left in the game. The Lady Lions pulled their goalie for a six-on-four and it paid off when
Alyssa West scored off a nice feed from
Allysson Arcibal.
Just 32 seconds later though St. Cloud State ruined Lindenwood's comeback when it punched in the game-winner with just 37.3 seconds left in the game.
The game was tied after both the first and second periods. Both teams scored a power-play goal in the first period, with Lindenwood's coming from Lyndsey Kirkham. Neither team scored again until midway through the third period when St. Cloud State took a 2-1 lead at the 10:47 mark.
Four of the five goals in the game came on the power play as Lindenwood was two-for-four and St. Cloud State was two-for-three. The only five-on-five goal was the game-winning score. Shots were mostly even with the Huskies having a 41-40 advantage.
Taylor Fairchild earned the start in goal and made 38 saves. Other assists for the Lady Lions in the game went to

Chelsea Witwicke.
Lindenwood falls to 1-13-0 on the season. The Lady Lions have an important CHA series in two weekends at RIT.
