Box Score The Lindenwood women's basketball team fell on Wednesday night to Missouri S&T 47-70 on the road in its final GLVC contest of the 2012-13 season.
The Miners got up early, building their lead to as many as nine in the first seven minutes of the contest. Lindenwood clawed back and cut the Miner lead to two, but that was as close as it would come for the remainder of the game. Missouri S&T closed out the first half on a 27-11 run.
The second half told a similar tale, as the Miners would increase their lead gradually before Lindenwood would cut back into it. Missouri S&T's lead grew to as many as 35 before the Lady Lions reduced it to 25 with 6:08 left in half.
Missouri S&T held the Lady Lions to just 31.6 percent from the floor. Lindenwood committed 26 turnovers compared to 24 committed by the Miners. Missouri S&T outrebounded the Lady Lions 42-35.

Jordynn Martin led the Lady Lions with 10 points while
Cassie Bluemner and
Sarah Schnieders contributed nine apiece.
Julie Hlinak snatched six rebounds to lead the Lady Lions.
Lindenwood falls to 2-7 on the year and 1-3 against members in the GLVC. The Lady Lions will finish up the 2012 calendar year with a contest against Benedictine-Springfield on December 31. Tip-off at Hyland Arena is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
