Box Score Down only two points at halftime, the Lindenwood women's basketball team ultimately fell on Wednesday night to Northwest Missouri on the road 69-40 in its inaugural MIAA game in program history.

Tori Kuhn recorded a career-high 13 rebounds while
Julie Hlinak led the Lady Lions offensively with eight points.
Up as many as seven with 11:56 left in the first, the Lady Lions went into the locker rooms down 26-24. Lindenwood shot 34.5 percent from the floor while holding Northwest Missouri to a 25.9 percent clip in the first half.
Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, Northwest Missouri jumped out on a 26-6 run. The Bearcats continued to increase their lead until the end of the game by forcing 18 second-half turnovers by the Lady Lions, scoring 17 points off turnovers alone. Northwest Missouri outscored Lindenwood 30-15 off of turnovers for the game.
Lindenwood shot 30.8 percent from the field in the contest while Northwest Missouri shot 41.8 percent from the floor after producing a 57.1 percent clip in the second half. Northwest went 18-for-23 from the charity stripe while Lindenwood went 5-for-7.
The Lady Lions fall to 1-5 for the season and 0-1 in the MIAA. Lindenwood will host its first MIAA game on Saturday against nationally-ranked Pittsburg State. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
