The Lindenwood men's wrestling team participated in the Newberry Duals in Newberry, South Carolina on Saturday. The Lions defeated Cumberland University, but fell to Lake Erie College and to the University of Findlay. Jacob Janes (141 lbs) and Matt Greene (174 lbs) both went 3-0 on the day

Despite losing two of the three matches, many Lions turned in victories. In the Lake Erie College meet, the Lions fell by a score of 25-9. Jacob Janes, Matt Greene, and Matt Crawford (285 lbs) were all victorious by decision in their respective weight classes.

In Lindenwood's 30-17 defeat of Cumberland University, Janes and Greene each recorded another win by decision. Jake Landals (184 lbs) and Corey Duncan (149 lbs) both earned wins by pinfall.

Lindenwood lost the University of Findlay meet by a score of 21-18 despite winning six of the 10 matches. Janes capped off his day his undefeated day with his third victory by decision. Greene won by a 2-0 decision in his match as well. Luke Roth (165 lbs) earned a victory by decision over the second-ranked wrestler in the nation in his weight class. Cullen Halpin (157 lbs), Michael Caldwell (133 lbs), and Padric Lynch (197 lbs) all also recorded victories by decision in the Findlay University meet.

The Lions take to the mats again on December 11^th in Kirkwood, Missouri against Truman State University.
