Roller Hockey Stays Perfect

Lindenwood roller hockey won four straight games at home over the weekend to stay a perfect 17-0 for the season.

The Lions started with a 10-0 shutout against the University of Missouri Friday night.  Goalie Kevin Dwyer turned back all 10 shots he faced to earn the win while forward Casey Escarcega led the offense with three goals and an assist and Robert Berman added two goals.

In the toughest game of the weekend, Lindenwood pulled out a 7-5 victory over St. Charles Community College.  Goalie Brett Humes was peppered with 36 shots, but saved 31 of them to pick up the win for the Lions.  Forward Mike Inouye scored two goals and Escarcega added three assists.

After having Saturday off, Lindenwood earned a 6-1 win against St. Louis Community College at Meramec Sunday morning.  Kevin Dwyer stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced to earn the win at goal.  Forward Matt Sexton had two assists on offense while Adam Aitken scored a goal to help the Lion's cause. 

In the final game of the weekend Sunday afternoon, Lindenwood stopped Bethel College 11-1.  Mike Inouye led the Lions offense with five assists while forwards Austin Shannon and Escarcega had three goals each.  Humes stopped 10 of 11 shots for his second win of the weekend at goal. 

Lindenwood gets some time off before wrapping up the regular season with four games at home February 24-25.
