Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions basketball team started off its final road trip of the season on the wrong foot. Lindenwood fell to the Central Oklahoma Bronchos 78-57 on Thursday night in Edmond, Okla.
The Lady Lions scored the opening basket of the contest and held a 2-0 lead. The unfortunate thing for Lindenwood was that it was the last time the score would be in the Lady Lions favor. When the first half came to a close the Bronchos were up 16 points and were dominating the play in the paint. Central Oklahoma was outscoring the Lady Lions 20-8 inside the lane.
Unfortunately for Lindenwood, the second half was not much better. The Lady Lions got the lead down to nine just a few minutes into the final half but the Bronchos continued to score. The home team got the lead up to as many as 23 and rolled to the victory.
Lindenwood had its toughest night of the year shooting. The Lady Lions shot just 28 percent from the field and 15 percent from behind the three-point line. Lindenwood forced Central Oklahoma into 25 turnovers but the Lady Lions turned it over 33 times.
Julie Hlinak led the way for the Lady Lions with 15 points.
