Men's rugby advanced to the finals of the Western Division II Rugby Football Union playoffs with a 53-5 victory over the University of Northern Colorado at the Lindenwood Track Saturday afternoon.

The Lions raced out to a 36-0 lead at halftime on the strength of a three tries from Brendan Davis and single scores from Prince Russell and Tyler Black.  In the second half, Linc Magee, Morgan Findlay and Cam Reed each crossed the try line to close out a convincing win.

Lindenwood will face Texas Tech University in the finals on Sunday with seeding for the USA Rugby Sweet 16 on the line.  Both teams have already qualified for the next round of the post season which will take place in Madison, Wis. April 28-29.

The Western Division championship game begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Lindenwood Track on April 1.
