Men's rugby moved one step closer to the USA Rugby Division II Final Four with a 43-5 win over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday in Madison, Wis. 

The Lions battled the Panthers and the sleet and rain to get the victory in the first round of the Sweet 16.  Joseph Shirley led the Lindenwood offense with two first half tries and Lincoln Magee added two of his own in the game.  Tyler Black, Brendan Davis and Stephen Duff each scored once.

The Lions face the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the defending Division II national champions, at 11 a.m. Sunday.  The winner will advance to the USA Rugby Final Four tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah May 19-20.
