Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team defeated Maryville 3-0 in Tuesday evening's contest at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles.
The Lady Lions took the lead early in Tuesday's match against the Maryville Saints with two goals in the first half by
Courtney Bresnahan. She also netted a third in the second half giving Lindenwood the win.
Bresnahan scored the first with just under 20 minutes left to play in the first half, and the second came just ten minutes later. The second half saw Bresnahan score the final goal on the evening 16 minutes into the second half.
The Lady Lions held the Saints to only six shots on the evening. The Lady Lions have now played 290 minutes of shut out soccer and are three games into the season.
Goalie
Jade Davis recorded 78 minutes, and gave way to Tracy Bailey who finished out the game in net for Lindenwood.
With the win the Lady Lions are now 2-0-1 on the still young 2012 season. The team will return to action on Friday night at home at 7 p.m. to face Northwest Missouri State University. Friday night's contest will mark the first MIAA conference game of the Lady Lion's season.
