Box Score The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fell on Friday night to conference foe Northwest Missouri State University, 3-0.
The Lady Lions started strong, taking an early 4-1 lead in the first set. Northwest Missouri would crawl back into the set fast, as the two teams would battle back-and-forth through the middle of the set. The Bearcats then took control, scoring six out of the next seven points to give themselves a 21-16 advantage. Northwest Missouri would hold the lead til the end, taking set one 25-20.
Set two told a similar tale, as the Bearcats would edge out Lindenwood 25-22. The teams continued to battle back-and-forth, as there were five ties throughout the set.
Despite the tough battle in the first two sets, set three belonged to Northwest Missouri the entire time, as they never gave up the lead from the beginning. At one point in the match, the Lady Lions were down by a seven-point margin. Lindenwood made up a few points in the middle of the game, but would fall 25-20.
As a team, Northwest Missouri hit .267 while Lindenwood hit at the .150 mark.

Erin Anselman led the way offensively, recording 15 kills at a .333 clip. Setter
Emma Brydels tallied a season-high six kills along with 19 assists.
The Lady Lions now move to 5-5 on the year and will travel to Warrensburg, Mo. on Saturday for a conference match-up against No. 8 University of Central Missouri. The match is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
