The Lindenwood tennis programs were home for the first time in 2012-13 on Wednesday against NCAA Division I Saint Louis. The Lions fell by an 8-1 score, and the Lady Lions lost by a 9-0 margin.

The lone winner of the day was Eric Tucoulou who defeated Joe Flanagan at No. 1 singles. The scores were 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5). The other three-set match came at No. 4 singles where Lindenwood's Andrei Mason lost the third set by a narrow 7-5 margin.

The women's team struggled in its season opener, winning just eight games in singles play and one in doubles action.

Both teams will be in action again on Sept. 21-23 at the ITA Regional Tournament in Springfield, Mo.
