Box Score The Lindenwood Lions men's soccer team has played two games and has had to play extra time in each of them. In the first game of the season the Lions earned a tie, but on Sunday night Lindenwood fell to the Quincy Hawks 2-1 in overtime in Quincy, Ill.
Quincy jumped out to a 1-0 lead after Jordan Roberts scored in the 29
th minute. The game headed into the halftime break with the home team leading with that single tally.
It only took the Lions three minutes into the final half to tie the score.
Hrvoje Bagaric scored from 30 yards out for his first goal of the season. Neither team could finish off the game in regulation so the game headed into overtime.
The first overtime saw both teams compile two shots but no goals. Finally, in the 104
th minute Roberts scored his second goal of the game to give Quincy the win.
With the loss the Lions drop their record to 0-1-1. Up next for Lindenwood is the team's home opener against Maryville University on Tuesday night.
