Box Score The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team opened its 2012-13 season with a 4-0 loss at Ohio State. The Lady Lions stayed within striking distance until the Buckeyes put the game away with two goals in the final three minutes of the game.

The highlight of the game for the Lady Lions was the play of goalie Nicole Hensley. The freshman stopped 60 shots in her first collegiate game. Offensively, last year's leading goal scorer Alison Wickenheiser led the team with four shots on goal.

Lindenwood was outshot 64-19 in the game, and was called for three more penalties and 17 more penalty minutes. The Lady Lions did not score on four power-play opportunities, while Ohio State was one-for-six on the power play.

Lindenwood and Ohio State will meet again on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio.
