Box Score The No. 21 Lindenwood men's soccer team went on the road and shut out SouthernNazarene 3-0 on Saturday night in Bethany, Okla.
In the first 45 minutes of the contest neither team could get on the scoreboard. But in the final half, the Lions dominated the play with three goals.
The first goal came just eight minutes into the final half.
Aris Nukic scored his first goal of the season after help from
Rodney Mays. Lindenwood added to the 1-0 lead in the in 76
th minute when
Eric Olvera scored his second goal of the season. Just 1:15 later the visitors added another goal to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
Freshman keeper
Fermin Hughes stopped all five shots that came his way and recorded his fifth shut out of the season.
The Lions continue to roll and have not lost a game since the second game of the season. Lindenwood is now 7-1-2 on the season and 4-0-1 in MIAA play. Up next for the Lions is a road game against Oakland City on Wednesday night.
