Lady Lions End Home Stretch Against Washburn On Saturday

• In the final game of the 7-out-of-8 game homestretch, the Lady Lions are hosting the Washburn Lady Blues on Saturday.

• This is the third meeting between these two schools.

• Washburn leads the series 2-0 and most recently defeated the Lady Lions on December 28, 1999 by a score of 67-45.

• This is the first and only time this season Lindenwood will have a game against the Lady Blues.

• Washburn is currently No. 14 in the USA Today Sports poll.

Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood is in hope of snapping its three-game losing skid against No. 14 Washburn on Saturday.

• As of January 21, Sarah Schnieders has cracked the top-ten in the MIAA in field-goal percentage. She makes 50.4 percent of her shots per game, putting her ninth in the conference.

Julie Hlinak has had 11 games where she has scored at least double-digit points. Sarah Schnieders has nine games in double-digits.

• Schnieders is also 14th in the conference in steals per game. She has racked up 22, averaging 1.7 steals per game.

• Three Lady Lions average double-digit points. Hlinak leads the team with 12.0 per game, followed by Schnieders with 11.3 and freshman Tori Kuhn with 10.4.

Sarah Schnieders and Meagan Hittle have started in every game they have played in for the Lady Lions this season.

• Hittle is leading the team from the charity stripe, making 81.3 percent of her free-throws.

Jenny Rocha has led the team in assists in six games this season.

• The Lady Lions have moved up to seventh in the conference in field-goal percentage. Lindenwood is shooting 41.8 percent from the floor.

Caroline Bourlioux recorded her second, 10-rebound night of the season against Fort Hays State. The junior is averaging 6.0 rebounds per game.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• The Lady Lions will hit the road and take on Southwest Baptist on January 31. Tip time is at 5:30 p.m. in Bolivar, Mo.

Last Time Out
• Lindenwood dropped its third straight conference game on Thursday night against Fort Hays State. The Tigers won by a score of 75-63.

Sarah Schnieders led the team with 17 points. Tori Kuhn added 12.

• Lindenwood outrebounded the Tigers 41-39.

• Lindenwood had one of its best showings from the charity stripe, going 18-for-20.

Caroline Bourlioux recorded 10 rebounds in the contest.

• Lindenwood committed 22 turnovers compared to 18 by Fort Hays State.

Washburn Notes
• In his 13th year at the helm of the Lady Blue, Ron McHenry has led the team to a 12-3 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the MIAA.

• Washburn was ranked 14th in the most recent USA Today Sports Poll.

• Laura Kinderknecht is a primary offensive threat for the Lady Blues, averaging 16.1 points per game. She also is averaging just under three boards per game.

• Tiara George leads Washburn with 6.8 rebounds per game. She is also second on the team in points per game with 11.4.

• The Lady Blues are coming off of a 70-44 victory over Lincoln.
