Women's Basketball Begins Second Half Of Conference Schedule

• Lindenwood travels to Southwest Baptist on Thursday to begin the second half of its 18-game conference schedule.

• The Lady Lions are on the road seven out of the last nine games of the season

• This is the third meeting between these two schools.

• Southwest Baptist leads the series 2-0 and most recently defeated the Lady Lions during the 1984-85 season.

• This is Lindenwood's first meeting this season against the Bearcats. Lindenwood will host Southwest Baptist on February 16 in its final home game of the season.

• Lindenwood travels to Southwest Baptist in search of its second conference win of the season.

• As of January 28, Sarah Schnieders is 11th in the conference in shooting percentage. The senior is making 50.4 percent of her shots.

Julie Hlinak is 17th in the conference in scoring average at 11.7 points per game.

Caroline Bourlioux has creeped up into the top-20 lists for rebounding and blocking. Bourlioux is 15th in blocks per game with 0.8 and 19th in the conference in rebounding at 5.6 boards per game.

• Three Lady Lions average double-digit points. Julie Hlinak leads the team with 11.7 per game, followed by Sarah Schnieders with 10.7 and freshman Tori Kuhn with 10.2.

Sarah Schnieders and Meagan Hittle have started in every game they have played in for the Lady Lions this season.

Meagan Hittle is leading the team from the charity stripe, making 82.4 percent of her free-throws.

Tori Kuhn has gone perfect from the free-throw line in six games this season. For the year, she is averaging .750 percent from the line.

• Lindenwood has moved up to eighth in the conference in free-throw percentage. The Lady Lions shoot 68.8 percent from the line.

• The Lady Lions are ninth in the conference in field-goal percentage. Lindenwood has made 40.7 percent of its shots, just 1.7 percent behind Southwest Baptist.

Lindenwood is ninth in the conference in assists per game at 12.6.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• The Lady Lions will return to Hyland Arena and host Central Missouri on Saturday, February 2.

Last Time Out
• The Lady Lions fell to No. 14 Washburn at Hyland Arena by a score of 64-46.

Caroline Bourlioux led the team for the second time this season in scoring with 10 points.

• Washburn outrebounded Lindenwood 47-36.

Tori Kuhn and Marissa Lehnig snagged five rebounds a piece.

• Lindenwood turned the ball over 26 times compared to 21 times by the Lady Blues.

• The Lady Lions went 19-for-23 from the charity stripe.

Southwest Baptist Notes
• Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 91-62 victory over Nebraska-Kearney this past weekend.

• Under the direction of second-year head coach Todd Voss, the Bearcats are 8-9 overall and have a 3-6 mark in the MIAA.

• Jacqui Zelenka is leading the team in both scoring and rebounds. Zelenka averages 12.1 points per game and 9.8 boards per game.

• Chasity Prince is averaging 12.0 points per game.

• The Bearcats have a 7-2 record on their home court this season.
