Box Score The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team gave up two goals in the first ten minutes of the game and eventually fell to Bemidji State on Friday afternoon by a 5-0 margin.
The Beavers took that early 2-0 lead into the locker room after one period and then scored three more times in the second period. The Lady Lions were outshot 35-6 through two periods as Bemidji State took control of the game on its home ice.
Bemidji State finished with a 45-14 edge in shots. The Beavers were two-of-three on the power play, compared to 0-for-three for Lindenwood.
Alexis Molotky saw her first action in goal on the season in the third period and did not allow a goal while facing 10 shots.
Kendra Broad and
Jordyn Constance each had a team-high three shots, and
Lyndsay Kirkham was nine-for-12 on faceoffs.
Lindenwood and Bemidji State will play again tomorrow afternoon in Bemidji, Minn.
