The score was tied 13 times and the lead changed six times in set two between Lindenwood and Emporia State. With the score tied at 23-23, the Hornets did all that was needed by scoring two straight points to win the set 25-23.

Down 2-0 and a bid into the MIAA Conference tournament at stake, Lindenwood hoped to turn things around quickly against Emporia State. The Lady Lions did just that early on by taking a 6-1 lead. Emporia State quickly reduced Lindenwood's lead though as it went on a 13-8 run to tie the game at 14-14. The Hornets dominated the Lady Lions the rest of the way and won the set 25-18 and match 3-0.

Dillon ended her Lindenwood career with over 400 kills, while McGeorge set a career-high in kills in her final match.
