Box Score The Lindenwood women's volleyball lost to the Central Missouri Jennies Saturday afternoon by a 3-1 score.
Kristin Burnett led the Lady Lions in kills with 11 while
Nicole Hallam contributed 9 of her own.
Lindenwood hung with Central Missouri early in set one before the Jennies went on a tear. After Lindenwood nodded up the score at four each, Central Missouri went on a 7-0 run to take a 11-4 lead. The Lady Lions could not recover from the deficit as they went on to lose 11-25.
The Lady Lions came back though and controlled most of set two. Lindenwood went up 19-15 before the Jennies scored four straight points to even the score 19-19. The Lady Lions answered back by scoring two points to regain the lead 21-19. Central Missouri wouldn't go down without a fight as they tied the game again 21-21. Lindenwood stayed hot though as they took the lead again 24-23.
Kristin Burnett got the final kill for the Lady Lions to lift Lindenwood past the Jennies in set two 25-23.
Central Missouri wasted no time to regain the lead in set three. Lindenwood had a rough start to the set and could not recover The Jennies controlled the majority of the set and cruised on to a 25-13 victory.
Lindenwood brought the heat early in set two and they took an 11-5 lead. The Jennies stormed back again though by nodding the score up 16-16. The set remained close from that point forward. With the score even at 23 each, Central Missouri scored two final points to take the set 25-23 and match 3-1
Lindenwood returns to action Tuesday night when they travel to Bolivar, Missouri to take on Southwest Baptist.
