Box Score postgame interview (video)

The Lindenwood women's hockey team fell to Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon at the Lindenwood Ice Arena by a 7-1 score.

Mercyhurst scored the first five goals of the game and outshot Lindenwood 48-23 for the contest. The Lakers had two shorthanded goals, one power-play goal, and one extra-attacker score.

Lindenwood's goal came in the second period when Caitlyn Post scored after a nice pass from Alyssa West. Katie Erickson also assisted on the score. Alexis Molotky got her first start in goal and made 41 saves. Megan Cox, Chelsea Witwicke, and Jordyn Constance all had a team-high three blocked shots.

Lindenwood and Mercyhurst will play again on Sunday with a noon start time.
