Women's Basketball Welcomes Southwest Baptist For Senior Day

• Lindenwood welcomes Southwest Baptist on Saturday for senior day at the Hyland Arena. This is the final home game of the 2012-13 season for the Lady Lions.

• This is the second meeting this season between the two schools. The Lady Lions went to Southwest Baptist on January 31 and fell by a score of 69-62.

• These two teams have met three times in program history. Southwest Baptist holds the 3-0 advantage over Lindenwood.

• Lindenwood is coming off of a 58-44 loss to No. 7 Central Missouri.

• The Bearcats most recently fell to Truman by a score of 78-69 in Kirksville, Mo.

• Lindenwood looks for its second conference victory on Saturday afternoon for senior day.

• The Lady Lions are graduating two seniors in
Sonya Milford and Sarah Schnieders.

Sarah Schnieders has cracked the top-10 list for most points scored in a career. Schnieders is tied for ninth alongside Tracey Dames with 1,104 points. Schnieders needs 73 more points to move into the top-five.

Sonya Milford has played in 32 games for the Lady Lions and has started in the last four. She has recorded a career-high 11 points against South Dakota School of Mines last season.

Sarah Schnieders has played in 105 games for Lindenwood and has started in 96 of them, including all 17 in which she played in this season.

Sonya Milford has snagged 104 rebounds in her career and 127 total points for the Lady Lions.

Sarah Schnieders and Meagan Hittle have started in every game they have played in for the Lady Lions this season.

Julie Hlinak is 11 points away from recording her 500th point.

Marissa Lehnig continues to bump her scoring average each game. After the last game, Lehnig has moved into the top-30 in the conference, averaging 10.4 points per game.

Sarah Schnieders is 11th in the conference in field-goal percentage. The senior has made 48.6 percent of her shots from the floor.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• Lindenwood is gearing up for its final road stretch of the 2012-13 season. In the first of the final three games, the Lady Lions will travel to Kirksville, Mo. on February 21 to take on Truman. Tip time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

• Lindenwood fell to No. 7 Central Missouri by a score of 58-44.

• The Lady Lions were leading at the half, 22-20.

Julie Hlinak led Lindenwood with 12 points. Meagan Hittle and Marissa Lehnig each recorded 10 points.

• Southwest Baptist's last victory came against Lindenwood at home on January 31.

• Under the direction of second-year head coach Todd Voss, the Bearcats have an overall record of 9-13 with a 4-10 mark in the MIAA.

• Three members of the Southwest Baptist squad average double-digit points. Jacqui Zelenka leads the pack with 13.2 points per game, Chasity Prince averages 12.1, and Brittney Dukes contributes 10.8 points per game.

• Jacqui Zelenka led the Bearcats in their contest against Truman, recording a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Chasity Prince added 18 points in the game.
