Women's Basketball Travels To Truman To Start Final Road Stretch

• Lindenwood travels to Truman for the second of two contests against the Bulldogs this season.

• The Lady Lions fell earlier this season to the Bulldogs by an 86-65 margin in Hyland Arena.

• This will be the fourth meeting all-time between Lindenwood and Truman. The two contests prior to the 2012-13 season were back in the 1970's. The Bulldogs hold a 3-0 advantage.

• Last Saturday, Lindenwood fell to Southwest Baptist on Senior Day. The Lady Lions lost by a score of 68-62.

• Lindenwood will look to even up the series this season against the Truman Bulldogs.

• As of February 18, Sarah Schnieders has moved in the top-10 in the MIAA in free-throw percentage. Schnieders has hit 78.4 percent of her shots from the charity stripe this season.

Sarah Schnieders has cracked Lindenwood's top-10 list for most points scored in a career. Schnieders is eighth with 1,129 points. Schnieders needs 58 more points to move into the top-five.

• Lindenwood has three players in the top-30 in conference scoring. Julie Hlinak is 17th, averaging 11.6 points per game, Sarah Schnieders is 21st, scoring 11.0 points per game, and Marissa Lehnig sits in 28th, contributing 10.6 points per game.

• The Lady Lions have continued to improve upon their free-throw percentage this season. Lindenwood is sixth in the conference, shooting 70.5 percent from the line.

Sarah Schnieders and Meagan Hittle have started in every game they have played in for the Lady Lions this season.

• The Lady Lions are tenth in the MIAA in steals per game. Lindenwood has recorded 177 steals this season at a clip of 7.7 per game.

• Lindenwood is also tenth in the conference in rebounding, snagging 37.2 boards per contest.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• Lindenwood will take the weekend off before ending the 2012-13 season on the road against Lincoln and Nebraska-Kearney. The Lady Lions will travel to Lincoln on Wednesday, February 27. Tip-off in Jefferson City is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Last Time Out
• Lindenwood fell to Southwest Baptist at home by a score of 68-62.

• The Lady Lions were tied at the half against the Bearcats.

Sarah Schnieders led Lindenwood with 15 points on senior day.

• The Lady Lions turned the ball over a season-low 10 times.

Truman Notes
• Under the direction of Michael Smith, the Bulldogs are a perfect 11-0 on the Pershing Arena floor.

• The Bulldogs are 17-5 overall. This is the best start through the first 22 games in Bulldog history. The previous best was during the 1998-99 season when Truman started 16-6.

• Truman is lead offensively by senior Becka McHenry. McHenry is averaging 13.2 points per game as well as a team-high 5.7 rebounds.

• The Bulldogs are shooting 42.2 percent from beyond the arc. This is the highest mark in all of NCAA Division II.

• At a 44.2 percent clip from the floor, Truman is currently ninth in the nation (in Division II) in that category.
