Lady Lions Travel To Nebraska-Kearney For Final Game Of The Season

• In its final game of the 2012-13 season, Lindenwood will travel to Nebraska-Kearney on Friday evening.

• This is also the final contest for Nebraska-Kearney this season as they did not qualify for the MIAA Championships in Kansas City.

• Tonight's game is the first meeting between these two programs.

• The Lady Lions are coming off of a 72-56 loss to the Lincoln Blue Tigers. Nebraska-Kearney lost on Wednesday evening to Northwest Missouri 71-52 at home.

• This is the longest road trip of the season for the Lady Lions. Kearney, Nebraska is 555 miles from Lindenwood's campus.

• Lindenwood looks to end the season on a high note with a victory over Nebraska-Kearney.

• As of February 25, Julie Hlinak has moved up to 15th in the conference in scoring per game. The sophomore is averaging 12.3 points per game. There is just 1.2 points that separates Hlinak from the top-10.

Sarah Schnieders has cracked Lindenwood's top-10 list for most points scored in a career. Schnieders is eighth with 1,149 points.

• Lindenwood has three players in the top-30 in conference scoring. Julie Hlinak is 15th, averaging 12.3 points per game, Sarah Schnieders is 23rd, scoring 10.9 points per game, and Marissa Lehnig sits in 27th, contributing 10.1 points per game.

• Through the last seven contests, Julie Hlinak is averaging 15.3 points per game. She has hit the 20-point mark in the last two contests and four times throughout the season.

Marissa Lehnig played in her 75th game on Wednesday night.

Sarah Schnieders is one game away from starting in 100 games in a Lindenwood uniform.

Julie Hlinak has had 17 games where she has scored at least 10 points.

Sarah Schnieders and Meagan Hittle have started in every game they have played in for the Lady Lions this season.

• The Lady Lions are seventh in the MIAA in free throws. Lindenwood has made 70.5 percent from the charity stripe.

• Lindenwood is also tenth in the conference in rebounding, snagging 36.5 boards per contest.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.

• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.

• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

Last Time Out
• Lindenwood fell at Lincoln by a score of 72-56.

• The Blue Tigers improved to 4-0 against the Lady Lions.

Nebraska-Kearney Notes
• Under the direction of third-year head coach Kevin Chaney, the Lopers are 6-18 overall and have a conference mark of 3-14.

• Nebraska-Kearney is on a five-game losing skid. The team's last victory was against Central Oklahoma on February 2.

• The Lopers have a 4-6 record at the Health and Sports Center.

• Ivy Jones is averaging 9.2 points per game. Laramey Lewis adds 7.3 points as well as 3.9 rebounds per game.
