• Northeastern State is currently not ranked in the USA Today Division II Women's Basketball Top 25 Coaches' Poll, but they have received votes or been ranked in five polls this season, including No. 23 in the preseason poll.
• This marks the third meeting between the two teams.
• Northeastern State holds a 2-0 lead over the Lady Lions. The last meeting between the two teams was February 18, 2012 and Northeastern State defeated Lindenwood 65-47.

• After the 2011-12 season, the Lindenwood women's basketball squad was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom. The team finished with a team GPA of 3.567 which was the seventh-highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II.
• This season marks the inaugural season for the Lady Lions in the MIAA. The MIAA is one of the top basketball conferences in Division II.
• Due to being in NCAA Division II provisional status, the Lady Lions will not have the opportunity to compete at the MIAA conference tournament in March.

• With Randy Gipson at the helm, Northeastern State is in its first season in the MIAA. The RiverHawks have compiled a 14-6 overall record and a 9-3 mark in the MIAA.
• Taylor Lewis leads the RiverHawks offense, averaging 16.3 points per game. Tosha Tyler also contributes double-digit points with 11.2 per game.
• Sarah Green is the top rebounder for Northeastern State, averaging 5.5 boards per game.
