Women's Hockey Looks To Extend Unbeaten Streak At Penn State

Lindenwood Notes Penn State Notes CHA Notes

Series Notes
- Lindenwood travels to Penn State for its second straight series against a another fellow CHA newcomer.

- Lindenwood is currently in fifth-place in the CHA with eight points. It is five points ahead of sixth-place Penn State and five points ahead of fourth-place Robert Morris.

- The Lady Lions and Nittany Lions met earlier this season and split a two-game series at the Lindenwood Ice Arena.

- Lindenwood won the first game by a 5-1 margin, and Penn State won the second game by a 3-2 score.

- The team with the most shots won both games of the series.

- Allysson Arcibal had two goals against the Nittany Lions and Alison Wickenheiser had three assists and four points.

- Nicole Hensley played both games in goal in the previous series with Penn State and had a 2.01 GAA and a .918 save percentage.

- Both Lindenwood and Penn State had three power-play goals in the first matchup this year.

- Lindenwood is 1-10-1 on the year on the road, including an 1-4-1 mark in CHA games.

A Look Back At RIT
- Lindenwood had its best weekend of the season by going 1-0-1 in a CHA series with RIT.

- Nicole Hensley played the entire series in goal and made 70 saves in goal and having a .946 save percentage.

- Lindenwood did not allow an even-strength goal in the series. Both teams were four-of-14 (28.6%) on the power play in the two games.

Lindenwood Notes
- Lindenwood tied a season-high in last Saturday's RIT game with three power-play goals. The Lady Lions are 3-1-0 when they score multiple power-play goals in a game.

- Alison Wickenheiser is tenth in the CHA in goals scored with nine. Wickenheiser and Kendra Broad are tied for seventh with six goals in league games.

- Seven of Alison Wickenheiser's nine goals have come in the third period. The seven third-period goals leads the CHA.
In CHA games, Nicole Hensley has a 2.58 GAA and a .934 save percentage. She ranks fourth in the conference in save percentage during league action.

- In her last four starts, Nicole Hensley is 2-1-1 with a 2.52 GAA and a .935 save percentage.

- Kendra Broad has eight points over the last nine games. Six of those points have come on the power play.

- Katie Erickson had two power-play points last week with one goal and one assist. She now has six points on the year, second-most among defensemen.

- Alyssa West is a +4 over Lindenwood's last nine games, and West has just two games in that span with a negative plus/minus.

- In six previous games against Penn State and RIT, the other first-year CHA programs, Lindenwood is 2-2-2. Lindenwood has scored 14 goals and allowed 14, and it is +10.

- In the five games that she has appeared in against Penn State and RIT, Nicole Hensley has allowed just one even-strength goal. She has a 1.75 GAA and a .946 save percentage for those contests.

CHA Notes
- Mercyhurst is the lone nationally-ranked team out of the CHA. The Lakers are No. 7 in the USCHO.com ranking and in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

- Lindenwood has its final regular season home series on Feb. 15-16 against Robert Morris. The two teams split their previous series, with both team winning by a 5-2 score.

About the Nittany Lions
- Penn State has lost seven straight games entering this week's series and its offense has scored just five goals in that span.

- The Nittany Lions are the least penalized teams in the CHA, going to the box just over eight minutes a game.

- Shannon Yoxheimer ranks in the top-10 in the conference with 12 goals, 14 assists, and 26 points. Taylor Gross also has a team-high 14 assists, and Jill Holdcroft is second with nine goals.

- Nicole Paniccia has seen the most action in goal. She is 6-13-1 with a 3.22 GAA and a .922 save percentage.

- Head coach of Penn State is Josh Brandwene. The Penn State alumnus is in his first season as a collegiate women's head coach.
