The Lindenwood men's tennis team split two meets this weekend. The Lions lost 8-1 to Washburn on Friday before sweeping Emporia State 9-0 on Saturday. Lindenwood's record is now 4-4 this season.
Against Washburn,
Rodrigo Traldi played the number one singles match and earned the lone win for the Lions when he beat his opponent in three sets. Number six singles player
Thiago Mastroianni also took his opponent to three sets but was unable to pull off the victory.
Lindenwood regrouped on Saturday and swept Emporia State 9-0 in MIAA play.
Rodrigo Traldi won the number one singles match 6-2 and 6-2 to get things started for the Lions. Number five singles player
Johannes Rabenhorst only surrendered two games in his match 6-1 and 6-1. Number four singles player Ysa Yoshikazu handled his opponent in two sets as well, 6-2 and 6-1. The win gave Lindenwood a 1-1 in MIAA play.
The Lions take on Truman State on Tuesday in Kirksville, Mo.
