Women’s Volleyball Wins Final Two Matches Of CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves Classic

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood women's volleyball team won both of its matches Saturday in the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves Classic defeating Southwestern Oklahoma State 3-2 and Chadron State 3-1.

Against Southwestern Oklahoma State, Lindenwood started off the match fast winning the first set 25-21.  Southwestern Oklahoma State fought back in the second set defeating the Lindenwood Lions 25-14. The match continued to go back and forth between squads though. After Lindenwood won set three 25-21, Southwestern Oklahoma State defeated the Lady Lions in the fourth set 26-24. 

However, Lindenwood was able to put the match away in game five edging Southwestern Oklahoma State 18-16. Aleah Rosenau led the Lady Lions with 15 kills while Sarah Makowski contributed 12 of her own.

Later that afternoon Lindenwood took on Chadron State in its final match of the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves Classic. Lindenwood took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-19. After dropping the third set 19-25, the Lady Lions finished off Chadron State in set four to win the match. Shannon Doyle led the team with 17 kills and Emma Brydels had 47 of the team's 54 assists.

Brydels was named to the all-tournament team following the tournament.

Lindenwood returns to action Tuesday evening with a home match at 7 p.m. against Missouri Baptist.
