The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fell at the hands of Missouri Baptist on Tuesday evening at Hyland Arena by scores of 26-24, 25-21, and 25-22. Aleah Rosenau led the Lady Lions in kills with 12, while Shannon Doyle contributed eight of her own

The Lady Lions had the momentum in the match's first set. The Lady Lions led 19-11 when Missouri Baptist went on a tear edging the Lions at the very end of the set 26-24. Lindenwood hung with Missouri Baptist in set two but was unable to stop the Spartans and lost 25-21.

Lindenwood jumped out to an early lead in set three. However, Missouri Baptist caught fire and went on another run against the Lady Lions. As Missouri Baptist was up by as many as six, Lindenwood came surging back as they cut the Spartans' lead to 24-22. Missouri Baptist shut the door on the Lady Lions though and was able to earn that final point for victory.

Lindenwood returns to action Friday night at Hyland Arena with a match against Northwest Missouri.
