Lions Soccer Wins Again and Improve to 6-0

Box Score The No. 14 Lindenwood Lions men's soccer team continued its undefeated season with a 2-1 win over the Southwest Baptist Bearcats on Friday afternoon in Bolivar, Mo.

Lindenwood started the scoring off in the 28th minute when Aris Nukic scored after a perfect pass from Hernan Gonzalez. Southwest Baptist tied up the score right before half time after Kaleb Romero scored an unassisted goal. The game headed into the half tied at one.

The second half started quickly for the Lions scoring the tiebreaking goal at the 54th minute. Hrovje Bagaric scored his first goal of the year which was all Lindenwood needed.

Fermin Hughes continued to dominate in the net. Hughes recorded his sixth win of the year while making just one save.

The win improved the Lions to 6-0 overall and 1-0 in MIAA play. Up next for Lindenwood is a home game against Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday afternoon.
