Lindenwood women's hockey took on St. Cloud State on Friday afternoon in St. Cloud, Minn. Two power-play goals were the only goals in the game. Unfortunately for the Lady Lions, both came from the Huskies in a 2-0 loss.

St. Cloud State scored the first goal of the game late in the first period as Lexi Slattery scored with a man-advantage at the 18:44 mark. It was a defensive battle after that until a wild finish to the third period. While on the penalty kill, Lindenwood drew a penalty and received a penalty shot. St. Cloud State save the shot though. Less than a minute later, the Huskies sealed the victory with a power-play goal by Payge Pena.

St. Cloud State finished the game by going two-for-six on the power play, compared to 0-for-four for the Lady Lions. St. Cloud State had 12 shots while having an extra skater on the ice, and Lindenwood had five power-play shots. Overall, the shots were 47-27 in favor of the Huskies.

Nicole Hensley made 45 saves in goal, including at least 13 saves in every period.
Katie Erickson led the team with seven shots and
Carrie Atkinson recorded a team-high three blocks. Erickson also made program history by becoming the first Lindenwood player to appear in 100 NCAA games.
