The Lindenwood women's volleyball team dropped a MIAA match on Saturday in Joplin, Mo. by a 3-1 score to Missouri Southern. Lindenwood lost by scores of 25-19, 30-32, 25-18, and 25-23.

Lindenwood could not solve Missouri Southern's blockers as the home Lions had 19 blocks in the match. That, along with 66 Missouri Southern digs, led to Lindenwood hitting just .118.

Shannon Doyle had a team-high 12 kills, followed by
Kayla Guyot with 11.
Sarah-Jane Pavlik had 49 assists, and
Alex Dahlstrom recorded five of Lindenwood's seven service aces. Defensively,
Anna Reichert had 14 digs,
Kristin Burnett had 10 digs, and Guyot and Pavlik each had four block assists.

Lindenwood falls to 5-13 on the year. The Lady Lions will be home on Tuesday night against nationally-ranked Central Missouri.Â
