The Lindenwood women's volleyball team hoped to shake up the top of the MIAA standings on Tuesday night in St. Joseph, Mo., but the Lady Lions could not get an upset win over Missouri Western. The Griffons won by scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-13.

Missouri Western won with an offense that hit .400 for the match. The Griffons had just nine hitting errors in the three sets.

Lindenwood was led by eight kills from both
Kayla Guyot and
Shannon Doyle. Guyot also had a team-high two blocks and finished with 9.5 points, while Doyle led the team with nine digs.

Lindenwood has its final road trip of the season this weekend with matches at Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.
