The Lindenwood women's volleyball team took Fort Hays State to five sets on Saturday night in Hays, Kan., but the Tigers survived by scores of 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 22-25, and 15-8.

The Lady Lions had one of their best hitting nights of the year, but Fort Hays State managed to outblock Lindenwood 13-5 which proved to be the biggest difference in the match.

Lindenwood had a balanced offense with four players in double-figure kills.
Shannon Doyle finished with 16,
Kayla Guyot had 15,
Jessica Krygsheld collected 14, and
Nicole Hallam had 31.
Sarah-Jane Pavlik had 59 assists, and Krygsheld had a team-high 21 digs.

The Lady Lions fall to 5-21 overall and 2-16 in MIAA play. Lindenwood concludes its season with four straight home matches, starting Friday versus Central Oklahoma.
