Lindenwood's field hockey team fell just short to Bellarmine in the first round of the ECAC Tournament, in a 3-2 loss. The loss puts Lindenwood in the consolation against Newberry on Sunday.

Lindenwood started the game strong and scored the first goal.
Ashton Lichvar scored her sixth goal of the season on an assist from
Carly Brengosz. Bellarmine answered with a goal of its own to tie the game at 1. Lindenwood scored another goal to take the lead again. All-ECAC member
Linda Oberle scored her third goal of the season on an assist from
Amelia Rodriguez. Bellarmine would score two unanswered goals to secure its win.

Both teams had 17 shots on the game. Bellarmine slightly edged Lindenwood in corners, 14-12.
Victoria Gil had seven saves in the game.

The loss puts Lindenwood in the ECAC Tournament consolation game against Newberry at 12 p.m. (11 p.m. Central) on Sunday.
