Sophia LaBrosseThe Lindenwood women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday as it closed out the 2014 season. Northwest Missouri spoiled the afternoon though by defeating the Lady Lions by scores of 25-27, 27-25, 26-24, and 25-10.

Sophia LaBrosse was Lindenwood's lone senior this year and she recorded one service ace and one dig. She helped the Lady Lions earn four points while she was serving. The defensive specialist finished her career with 16 service aces and 31 digs in 29 matches.

Lindenwood had a chance to win the match in a 3-0 sweep, as it had multiple match points in the second and third sets. In the second, the Lady Lions led 24-21 before the Bearcats scored six of the final seven points. In the third set, Lindenwood led 24-20 before Northwest Missouri scored the final six points. In the final set, Northwest Missouri scored the match's final nine points.

Shannon Doyle had another double-double for Lindenwood with 12 kills and 11 digs, and setter
Sarah-Jane Pavlik also had a double-double of 43 assists and 11 digs.
Kayla Guyot led the team with 15 kills, and
Aleah Rosenau was in double-figures with 10 kills.
Sara Gregor recorded nine blocks and
Anna Reichert had a team-high 15 digs. Guyot led the team with 15.5 points, and Doyle, Gregor, Rosenau, and
Alex Dahlstrom all had double-figure points.

The Lindenwood women's volleyball team ends its season with an overall record of 5-15, and a 2-20 MIAA mark.
