The Lindenwood women's basketball team held a halftime lead against the Northeastern State RiverHawks but were outscored by 15 in the second half and fell 65-56 in Tahelquah, Okla.
The first half the Lady Lions pushed their lead to as many as 12 in the first half but a late run by the RiverHawks cut the Lindenwood lead to six.
To start the second half the Lady Lions continued to lead but only by two and four by the most. Northeastern State continued to chip away and finally took its first lead with 6:43 to play.
The RiverHawks would not relinquish the lead after getting it. Lindenwood would fall in its second straight game after winning its first five.
Kassidy Gengenbacher was the only Lady Lions to score in double figures with 14.
The loss dropped Lindenwood to 5-2 on the season and 0-2 in MIAA play.
