Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team lost a tough game in overtime to the Truman Bulldog 2-1 in Kirksville, Mo. on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Lions took the lead in the 50
th minute when
Alexis Robbers scored her first goal of the season. That one goal held up for a while, but in the 81
st minute Truman's Megan Whitehead tied the score at one.
With the score tied at one the contest headed into extra time. Just six minutes into overtime, the Bulldogs scored the game-winning goal and sent the Lady Lions their second loss of the season.
Lauren Groathouse started in goal for Lindenwood and surrendered two goals while making seven saves.
The loss dropped the Lady Lions to 1-2-1 on the season. Lindenwood will start MIAA play on Friday night at home against Central Missouri on Friday night.
