Box Score Video - Match PointThe Lindenwood women's volleyball team won its home opener on Friday night at Hyland Arena with a 3-2 win over Pittsburg State. The Lady Lions had a come-from-behind win by scores of 28-26, 14-25, 31-33, 25-16, and 15-8.

The Lady Lions took control of the match midway through the fourth set. Lindenwood led 16-13 already in that set and then forced the fifth set with a 9-3 run. In the fifth set, the Lady Lions jumped out to a 6-1 lead and never let the Gorillas back into the match. Lindenwood finished with a .588 hitting percentage for the deciding set.

Sarah Makowski led four Lindenwood players with double-figure kills with 16, followed by
Shannon Doyle with 15.
Jessica Krygsheld added 10 kills and
Kayla Guyot had 10 kills.
Ivy Reynolds had 52 assists, Doyle had a team-high 14 digs, and Makowski had four blocks.

Lindenwood improves to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in MIAA play. The Lady Lions take on Southwest Baptist on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Hyland Arena.
