Box Score 2 The Lindenwood women's volleyball team opened up its season on Friday at the Christian Brothers Tournament in Memphis, Tenn. The Lady Lions went 0-2 on day one of the event, falling to Harding and Drury.

In the first contest, Lindenwood played nearly even with last year's Great American Conference regular season champions, Harding. The two teams went to a fifth set before Harding won by scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, and 15-13.

Lindenwood outhit Harding .162 to .143, and it also had seven more digs and six more blocks. Harding had a few more kills and five extra service aces though to help it escape with the victory.

Jessica Krygsheld had a big debut with 21 kills and nine digs in her first collegiate match.
Shannon Doyle had a double-double of 10 kills and 16 digs.
Anna Reichert led the team with 18 digs,
Sarah Makowski had 10 blocks, and
Sarah-Jane Pavlik had 21 assists and 14 digs.

In the second match, Drury defeated Lindenwood by scores of 25-10, 25-18, and 25-22. The Panthers hit a blistering .330 for the match.

Doyle had a team-high eight kills and Pavlik led the squad with 13 assists. Defensively, Reichert had 11 digs and Makowski had five blocks.

Lindenwood concludes play at the tournament on Saturday with matches against Christian Brothers and Alderson Broaddus.
