Box Score The No. 7 Lindenwood men's soccer team started of its 2014 season with a 1-1 tie against the University of Missouri-St. Louis Tritons in the MIAA-GLVC Crossover in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday night.
 
The Lions did not take long to strike. Andre Hayne scored just three minutes into the game to give Lindenwood the early lead. UMSL would tie the score after the Tritons converted a penalty kick in the 35^th minute.
 
For the next 70 plus minutes neither team was able to break the tie and after two overtimes the contest ended in a tie.
 
Andrew Hamerlinck started in goal for the Lions and surrendered just one goal while making five saves.
 
Lindenwood will be right back in action Sunday afternoon when the team will take on the host school, Missouri S&T.
