Box Score The No. 1 Emporia State Lady Hornets were too much for the Lindenwood Lady Lions on Monday night in Emporia, Kan. The Lady Hornets had control from the opening tip and rolled to the victory 97-52.

Emporia took control of the game at the 12 minute mark of the first half and never looked back from there. The Lady Hornets closed the final 12 minutes on a 35-7 run to blow the game wide open.

Unfortunately, for the Lady Lions the halftime break did not slow down Emporia as the home team shot 50 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes.

Jenny Rocha led the way for Lindenwood scoring 11 points. Vanessa Zailo just missed out on her second consecutive double-double scoring 10 points on nine rebounds.
The loss drops the Lady Lions to 7-5 overall and 1-5 in MIAA play. Lindenwood will return home on Thursday night to take on the Fort Hays State Tigers.
