Lindenwood's wrestling team traveled to Fort Wayne, Ind. where they are competing in the NWCA National Dual. The Lions opened up the tournament by defeating Kutztown University 21-15, but fell in the next round to Maryville University, 22-9. The Lions bounced back quickly, when they beat Augustana College from South Dakota, 24-13. The Lions are set to wrestle Mercyhurst University tomorrow at 9 a.m. (8 a.m. central). The winner will go on to wrestle for 5th place in the tournament, while the loser will go on to wrestle for 7th.
 
Lindenwood had many solid contributors for the day. Marcos Rios-Tamayo, Kyle Webb, and Terrel Wilbourn scored seven team points each for the Lions, by going 2-1, one of those wins being a major decision. Kenny Breaux also went 2-1 on the day.
 
Tomorrow Lindenwood will be wrestling Mercyhurst to see who gets into the 5th place dual at 9 a.m. (8 a.m. central). Whether the Lions win or not, they will be kicking off their final round of the tournament at 1 p.m. (12 p.m. central) wrestling for 5th or 7th place.
