The Lindenwood women's volleyball team defeated Missouri Southern State on Saturday night by a 3-2 margin in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lady Lions opened up play with a 25-21 loss, but bounced back to take a 25-21 win in set two. After the break the Lady Lions fell 25-17, but again found a way to tie the match up with a 25-18 victory. Lindenwood closed out the night with a demanding 15-7 win for the 3-2 victory on Saturday night.
Kayla Guyot tallied her 1,000th career kill on her fifth kill on the night. The Lenexa, Kan. native is now fifth in school history for career kills.Â
Alex Dahlstrom had a big night with 20 kills and a block, while
Jessica Krygsheld and
Bailey Dvorak each had 12 kills.Â
Allyson Clancy dished out 55 assists and added three service aces.
The 3-2 win gives Lindenwood an 11-9 record on the year and it is 3-6 in the MIAA. The Lady Lions have a long break before traveling to Kearney, Neb. to take on No. 12 Nebraska-Kearney on Friday night at 7 p.m.
