The Lindenwood field hockey team closes out the ECAC Tournament with its third victory over Newberry, solidifying a third place finish in the conference.

Linda Bonagura, a senior all-star selectee, scored the first goal of the game for the Lady Lions off a pass from
Tara Robben at the 7:39 mark. Just 1:11 later,
Greta Banholzer extended the Lady Lions' lead to 2-0 with her eighth goal of the season.
Nicole Johnston was accredited with the assist. Before the end of the first half, the Lady Lions kept the ball on the Wolves side of the field, recording three corner shots and three shots.

In the beginning of the second half, Banholzer aggressively attacked with three shots within the first three minutes, including her second goal of the game and ninth of the season.
Karlie Quinn scored the final goal for the Lady Lions at the 44:25 mark assisted by
Graycen Dave for a score of 4-0.

Since the Lady Lions offense controlled the ball most of the game,
Victoria Gil did not face too much pressure, recording two saves on seven total shots.

The Lady Lions reach 10 wins for the second straight season and third time out of the last four years.
