The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team could not win the season series against Syracuse as the Orange took the deciding game on Saturday afternoon in Syracuse, N.Y. by a 3-1 score.

The Lady Lions struck first in the game when
Jordyn Constance scored at the 16:18 mark of the first period.
Britannia Gillanders was credited with an assist on the goal.

That turned out to be the only shot though that Lindenwood could get past the Syracuse goalie. The Orange took advantage by tying the game in the second period, and then winning the game with two goals in the first five minutes of the third period.

Syracuse finished the game with a 36-23 advantage on shots, and the Orange had the only power-play goal in the game.

Nicole Hensley, who surpassed 3,000 career saves in the series, finished with 33 saves in Saturday's game.

The Lady Lions fall to 9-18-2 overall and 6-10-2 in CHA action. Lindenwood concludes the regular season next week with a two-game home series against CHA leader Mercyhurst.
